Prayer in the Political Light

I want everyone to see this video about the 2008 presidential debate discussing prayer. Many of the candidates did not answer the question. Also, Many had distorted views in regards to prayer and its effect to prevent natural disaster. After viewing this video and hearing the responses.

The Word of Lord came unto me saying, this season the stage is being set for revival. I am going to invade the politics with encounters. I am to send prophetic messengers that will utter and decree my words and it shall come to pass. The Lord would say that I am even going to use the foolish things to confound the wise. Their will be a prophetic movement that is going to take place at the 3 major universities. God said watch Yale, Harvard, and Northwestern. There will be a prophetic movement on these campuses because I am confounding the wise. I am going to use those things that have been foolish to many and redeem them. I am going to release rivers of my annointing to those campuses and use them to affect politics and the business arena. The Lord says Hillary Clinton, I have placed my power on you and I will visit you by my glory. I have placed a mantle of wisdom upon you. The Lord says, Watch because I will remove fear in your life. I will remove the spirit of fear that keep you from sharing you faith in politics. Behold, says the Lord, this is a new day and watch 2 months after the election I will visit the White House with my power and my glory.

For The Lord would say unto the church, Behold this the hour that 1 Corinthians 4:20 will be fulfilled. The Kingdom of God is not a matter of talk, but an issue of power. Even the church has had a form of godliness but denied my power. I declare unto you that those of you that deny my power will be ineffective in this season. So I declare to you to seek my kingdom and its righteousness and make it your priority for the earth is groaning for the authentic power of God. So my charge to you is, who will arise in the power of God? Who will demostrate my glory? For I am weary of men and women that are comfortable just instructors For I have stated in my Word that their are many instructors, but there is a lack of spiritual fathers. (1 Cor 4:15) For I have preserved unto me a people that will demonstrate my power and walk in radical holiness and faith. Saith God.

The Importance of The Word of God.

Hey!!! Saints of God!! Today is truly a day of blessing and destiny!

Frances Mosley is a faithful member at our church, Church of Fire. She ministered Sunday on the importance of studying your Word. I must say you guys. I was truly convicted. I was sitting there hearing this powerful message and God was showing me my inconsistency in this area. I have to say I really struggle in this area. This one of the areas that the enemy will fight you in the most. There are several things that fight for your attention. I pondered to God “what promises am I missing out on?” What benefits of the kingdom that I have not discovered? Proverbs 25:2 states, “It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter” This stirred up a zeal in me to search the mysteries of God out. A lot of times, like she mentioned, you have all these promises from God but you don’t them because you don’t study your Word. I must say the enemy always fights me with being consistent. I do it but my problem is staying consistent. I have witnessed that your soul and spirit truly suffers if you are not accessing his Word on a daily basis.

Jesus told the devil, “Man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” (Matthew 4:4) Now, we all know that Deliverance is the Children’s Bread. (Mark 7:26-28) Jesus declares to the enemy, that man does not survive by deliverance only. Although, it is a powerful tool to set you free. We should not depend on it for our sustenance. That should be the word that comes from God’s mouth. We know that the written Word are the words that proceeded from his mouth. We must have relationship with his written word and it must be that which we live by. Some of us have spiritual malnutrition. We don’t access God’s Word on a daily basis, which opens the door for carnality and spiritual apathy and laziness to creep in. I know its a basic principle, but a lot of us miss it.

Thanks Frances for unveiling this often overlooked truth!

Sincerely,

Book Review: When Heaven Invades The Earth #1

Hey guys. Sorry I have not posted in a while. I have been trying to be consistent, but I have received some blows from the enemy this week. However, All in all, I have got up, dusted myself off, and now am cool.

I want to review the first couple of chapters in “When Heaven Invades the Earth”. If you have not received your copy. Please click on the link to the left and purchase yours today.

The First Chapter: The Normal Christian Life.

In chapter one, Bill talks about the abnormality of Christians that lack an appetite for the miraculous or for God to break all impossibilities. I must say this really challenged me. How many times do we go about our lives just ignoring impossibilities for the fear of what if it doesn’t happen. Performing miracles, healings, prophetic words, and word of knowledge can be very confrontational. If you are born of God, this is your culture. It is the very air you breathe, because God is anxious to break out of heaven into earth. He wants us to demonstrate his power.

Also, on page 27 in the 5th paragraph he makes a bold statement and says,”Powerlessness is inexcusable.” This really hit me like a ton of breaks, because we as believer’s of a higher reality should operate in the power of God. I remember in the past, I believed that God could do anything so when it came to healings, deliverances, and people getting breakthroughs by the supernatural power of God I was excited. I would watch TBN and fall in love with the way that Benny Hinn performed several miracles and then I would look at my church at that time confused. Why? It completely contradicted what I saw. Slowly religion and american culture convinced me sometimes things like death, sickness, diseases just happen and there is nothing that we can do but pray. Maybe some of you have been convinced and do not know it. Ask God to reveal to areas in your life where you have compromised the power of God.

Chapter 2: Commission Restored.

Bill goes on and reminds us of the commission that was given to Adam. Gen. “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it.” I was always brought up that this scripture only pertained to sex in marriage and producing children. Although, it does pertain to that, it is a limited view of this passage. God’s command to Adam did not merely mean to make babies. This commission was 4 fold.

1. Be Fruitful. God told Adam, Noah, and Abraham, and Jacob to become fruitful. When God commaned them to be fruitful, he was referring to manifesting the character of God on the inside of our souls. In Galatians Paul mentions several fruits of the Spirit that we are to manifest in our lives. When we develop these fruits of the Spirit, We began to resemble our God and this is how humanity sees God.

2. Multiply. This brings me to my next point. The commission has always been the same. God told Jacob in Genesis 35:11 “I am God Almighty: be fruitful and multiply; a nation and a company of nations shall be of thee, and kings shall come out of thy loins;” This is interesting! The purpose for us to multiply was way past bearing children. God wanted us to duplicate ourselves by making disciples and training them up in the kingdom of God. God is not stingy. He will not just empower for you to have all of the power. He delights in duplicating that power so that many are operating in the raw power of God.

3. Fill the Earth. This is a result of multiplication of the power of God. Many will be fill with the power of God and not afraid to act on it. When we multiply and minister to the nations and people that God has assigned us to, then “nations can come out of you”. There is a specific influence that we have with several different people, whether its at work, school, or family.
We come in contact with a lot of people. This is the key to REVIVAL! God wants the kingdom to Expand so that his glorious rule is extending throughtout the earth. So my question to you is, Who are you impacting? Who is affected by your stance with God? Are you allowing the nations to come out of you? These are questions that will keep us focused on this commission.

4. Subdue it. This is the point where most churches and religion halt. Many don’t enforce this truth. Many Christians are raised up powerless and have a don’t have a vision to enforce the victory of the cross. We are train to be on the defensive side of the spectrum defending ourselves from the devil. Many don’t enforce the kingdom and undo the apparent holds that are on our lives. We live passive lives and don’t enforce the kingdom of God.

We have the better covenant which gives us better means to accomplish the commission and see it fulfilled. This is the church’s corporate destiny. Bill Johnson’s Book is packed with teachings like this. If you have not purchased it. GET It Today! by going to the links to the left.

The Challenge of Love & Humility

Hey Guys… I have learned a valuable lesson today. It was the issue of humility and being humble. Jesus talked about this attribute of the Spirit quite frequently. What does it mean to be humble or to manifest humility in our lives. Well.. I found out the hard way. Jesus stated in John 15:12, “This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.” So, here we see Jesus tells us to love each other no matter who it is in the same capacity that he loves us. That’s HARD! Have you ever meditated on the capacity that God loves you? It is really big. John 3:16 states “For God so loved the world that he gave is only begotten Son…”. A lot of us ain’t giving up 5 dollars. No matter if we are related or not? We are suppose to give ourselves unselfishly to one another. If we perfect this love then God dwells in us (1 John 4:12) I know its very basic but, a lot of us miss it. We don’t love each other in the same magnitude that God loves us. We love on a conditional basis. However, God love is unconditional and that means whatever you do he still loves you. What does this have to do with humilty? Everything! They go hand and hand. Humility basically means putting someone else before yourself. So it is pretty much the same thing. Even if people do us wrong, We still need to perfect love. The Bible has a lot to say about this. The word “love” is mentioned over 500 times in the Bible. We must arise to this standard as believers. It is what makes us different from the world.

I bet you are asking what lesson did I learn. Well… God showed me a greater capacity to love my wife. Even if we do not agree or are mad at each other, We should attempt to love each other through God’s eyes. It Works!!

What obstacles have you had in when it comes to this principle? Share with me and post your thoughts!

Wrestling With Your Destiny (Part 2)

I want to deal with this other set of people. This will be those of you that God has revealed his destiny to you. Some of you God has revealed your destiny. You may not know the full destiny, but you have enough to get you started. I am talking to myself as well. We must step out in what God has called us to do. Several things can hold you back but I will just deal with 2 of the main ones in this post.

One of the main things that holds us back is FEAR. Fear cripples us. I always looked at fear as a crippling spirit. It presents emminent failure if you try to do something and blinds you of the apparent victory. People who are fearful are blinded of their strengths and its comfortable for them to be afraid. I can remember as a child being afraid of something until it was explained to me that there is nothing to be afraid of. Do you remember that feeling? You feel like “All this time I was scared!”. Fear does that. Whatever you are afraid of intimidates you and you believer that it is bigger that you, until you have a realization. 2 Timothy 1:7 states that “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” So, If God does not give us that spirit, then who does? That answer is pretty easy. Satan doesn’t want you to use your spiritual gifts. He doesn’t want you to talk about Jesus, and he wants you to be afraid of the suffering that you may or may not experience if you do talk about Jesus. It is estimated that 80% of Christians today are oppressed by a spirit of fear. This can and must be reversed. But Proverbs 11:9 says, “Through knowledge the righteous will be delivered”. We need the genuine knowledge of God to be delivered from the Spirit of Fear. Fear stops people not only in the areas of witnessing and using spiritual gifts., but there are many other types of fear. I list them here: fear of…
-rejection
-death
-success
-failure
-being loved again
-fear of the devil
-and many others…

Here are some scriptures if you are struggling with this. GOD WANTS YOU FREE!
1 John 4:18, Psalm 27:1, Genesis 26:24, Deuteronomy 1:21, Psalm 27:3, Psalm 118:6

The second one I struggled with a lot. I would as myself these questions: “What will people think”, “How will they look at me”, and “People are going to think am weird.” I was so bound by the opinions of other people. This can definitely cripple you. I KNOW! I would watch other people to see there response to whatever I did spiritually. Whether it was praying, prophesying, or ministering. I was bound by the faces of peoples’ expressions. There was a point where I encounter who God was. After that, His opinions was the only thing that matter to me. I will still be in Mississippi and never moved to Chicago had I listened to the words of people. Imagine that! I would have missed my destiny. A lot of people miss there destiny based off of what others say. However God is calling for those that will be fearless warriors for him. When you think of a soldier in a war, they are fearless.

Post what is hindering you from walking in fullness of God. We must be FREE!!! There is a dying generation awaiting our voices.

Wrestling With Your Destiny

I was talking with my wife and we were discussing our identity and destiny and how it pertains us. During our conversation, we realized that there are some things that inhibit the fullness of your destiny. We found out that our own desires and ambitions could potentially block the fullness of the plans and purposes that God has for us. When you talk about dreams, Me and my wife have them! We had planned great things that we wanted for ourselves. My wife described her scholarly ambitions with school by graduating and attending graduate school. I expressed my dreams of entrepreneurship, wealth, and possibly owning several businesses. After we shared the excitement of our ambitions, God quickly convicted us. You may say “Why”.

Sometimes God has to compete with your ideas and dreams in order to release his plan for your life. Think not? Some of us God has told us expressly which way to go in our lives or which path to walk or what career path to take, but we have did otherwise. We must understand the one of the purposes in which God speaks. Everything God does or says is with the end in mind. God is looking at our destiny. Let’s look at Jeremiah 29:11…

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, not of evil to give you an expected end.”

This passage is very interesting when it comes to this topic. Since, God already knows the thoughts toward you. By revelation, We must access these thoughts. This what our Apostle was explaining Sunday. It is important to access revelation on a daily basis. We must find out what are the “good thoughts” that God thinks. When we access the mind of God, he downloads these thoughts, plans, purposes, gifts, abilities, and visions into our soul. It gives us peace because we understand how and which way to walk. The more understanding you receive the more peace you have. You are not worried about a lot of things because you understand the truth behind it. If you understand your end, you know how to build accordingly to see it manifest. A lot of us waste time doing things that have not been birthed from the womb of prayer and find ourselves discourage. We do things that our hearts want and this deceives us. (Jeremiah 17:9). We end up upset and disappointed because we spend years pursuing this dream, ambition, or calling. Only to find out that it contradicts where God is taking you.

In some cases, pursuing your destiny is a sacrifice. We must not become offended, because God is going to require us to give up things in order to walk in the fullness of our identity. He will sometimes we require that we leave certain people, even family members.(Genesis 12:1) It may painful, but I rather walk in God’s plan. God does this to bless us and reveal what is in our heart and not to deprive us. (Matthew 19:20-22) God knows the end and he gives us revelation and insight so that we may build with the end in mind. Be reminded of your end. Grab hold to your end. This is your destiny.

Let me know what competes with your destiny? Share you ideas about your destiny. What has been the biggest sacrifice? Has there every been a struggle with your plans and God’s plans?

Identity In the Encounter

My apostle (Matthew Stevenson) was talking about identity Sunday and where it lies. This got me to thinking about my own personal identity and how I should find it so that my God-given destiny is fulfilled. So… Trying to find your identity can be a hard thing. Let me explain how…

Throughout Life…. There have been several things that have shaped our identity and what we believe to be ourselves. Life has dealt several cards whether we wanted it or not. This is what has shaped our identity. Parents have set goals for you, The devil has set traps, and God has set his Word. Through our choices, we have navigated our lives and developed a “sense of self”, if you will. This is the reason why most of say “This is the way I have been all my life”, but really this is an untrue statement. Most of us have been dealt so much injustice that we based our “sense of self” from circumstances and things that happened to us. This is why most people say, “I am like this because this happen and so forth”. From these injustices, We have shaped our occupations and what we thought we wanted to do in life.

This part of our fractured soul and imperfect self-being is what God is desperate over. Can you imagine God calls this part of us beautiful! He wants to inhabit us and dwell in our souls so that we become perfected. (James 1:4). From the life of Saul, We can see this more clearly.

Let’s take a look….

First, Who was Saul of Tarsus? Saul described himself as a persistent persecutor of the Christians. This is interesting. He probably was convinced that this was his identity. He may have believed that this is who he was and what he probably would die doing. He witnessed the death of Stephen, a christian martyr, and approved of his death. Saul would go into different houses dragging men and women out committing them to prison. Talk about some boldness. I can imagine what about this will God see as beautiful. Thank God his wisdom is above ours.

As he continued on his journey, he came to a road called Damascus and something amazing happen. His identity changed. You know the story. (Acts 9) He encountered the Lord at Damascus. At Damascus, His whole soul was converted and he found what he truly was design by God to do and be. Wow! This must have been some encounter, because most of the New Testament was written by Him. The Voice of God converted him and he received a new mission.

In conclusion, I believe identity outside of God is no identity at all. We basically are groping the darkness trying to find our self. Many teenagers are doing this. They go through life trying to figure at who they are. So, the most convenient thing to do is to copy what they see. Now, This presents my next problem. What are the youth seeing? If they saw more men and women walking in integrity, they will be challenged to do so and the world’s idols will not entice them. 80% of college students are in school trying to find themselves. This, also, with believers in religious circles. Most don’t know who they are because most have not truly encountered God. Once God salvation takes place, then the pursuit is on to find in Him who we are. Let us show others Jesus. This is why day by day we must strive to encounter different facets of God, because in finding Him you find you. The real YOU!
