Can One Man Save A Nation?

As I sit home from work, because of Martin Luther King Day, this question rings in my heart. “Can One man Change a Nation” It was a question that I was told that Apostle Matthew asked many of our men. I sit and continue to rock my son to sleep. This same question ringed in my soul again. “Can one man change a nation” I begin to ponder this question as God begin to reveal to me the nature of his inquisition. I begin to think about civil rights and about Mr. Martin Luther King Jr. God begin to reveal and show me how prophetic this man really was. He begin to show me how one burden or vision for equality first in the US and then all over the world. He was willing to endure extreme amounts of persecution and resistance in order to see his vision come to pass. He never picked up a stone, however he was abused for his words. I looked at my son and God spoke this scripture to me. Romans 5:19 “For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.” I now begin to see this picture quite clear. It does not begin with a group of people. It begins with one. I immediately thought about everything I had did wrong and how I disobeyed God both deliberate and unintentional. I begin to see how by my disobedience sin will be entered into my son’s life pending if I disobey my call. I was fascinated that my disobedience affects more than just me. It affects all who know me as well as them that have not met me. God begins to reminds me that if I ever disobey his will it affects the generations after me such as Adam. However, my obedience can do the opposite and release deliverance and righteousness into my life and the life of my son. I am reminded of how Moses lead an entire nation out of Egypt. After his encounter with God’s voice, He was burden with a call that was bigger than him. It became a small intricate detail of God’s redemption for his people. I begin to see that Martin Luther King, Moses, Jesus, Aimee Semple Mcpherson and many others are characters in God’s redemptive plan for all of his people. So then, the question batters me again. Can one man change a nation? My answer to him was Yes! If I have been given a part of Jesus mantle, whether it is apostle, prophet, pastor, evangelist or teacher, I have a responsibility to change a nation. Whether is this nation or other nations. Whether its my family or other families. Whether its friends or people I never met before.

The Lord is saying, “Will you stand up in your authority and the power I have given you to change and affect those around you. Everyone has a sphere of influence. Are you impacting your sphere of influence? There is responsibility laid upon you to accomplish the work that has been laid for you? Will you pray until it manifests on earth? How passionate are you. Become consumed and abandoned for my purposes. What is your vision? What do you want to see? What will you decree? You have been given that great power of my Son. I charge you to use what is in you hands. Do not fear resistance from Hell. Do not be discouraged by how unpopular it may be. Begin to be an example of truth and purity. Begin to stand for righteousness and morality for all.”

I begin to see motivated by love. I have been given a mandate to fulfill. God requires you. Those of us hidden in religious services and wanting to express our love in worship. Those of us bound by monetary walls. He wants you! Obey him. If you have been given a mandate to fulfill, don’t rest until it is manifested. Count the cost and with a sober reality of the cost, Pursue the call. Remember if we as a remnant, passionate for societal reformation, supernatural power, national healings and deliverances pray and persevere God will answer. Remember it only takes one. One person with radical and complete obedience to God can save a nation. What will be your legacy? You write you own destiny!

A Dangerous Prayer

Hey Guys,

Welcome to 2008!! I wanted to share a prayer that one of my ministry friends prayed. His name is Steve O Brein. You can visit his website on the right. I was truly amazed at his zeal and tenacity. My wife always accuses me of praying these types of prayers. Many are not ready to pray this type of prayer because it requires all of God at any cost.  When we say, “God, it’s all about You.” What do we really mean? This prayer absolutely exhibits that. Take a look!!!

God! I can’t stand Christianity any more. I can’t stand Church any more. I can’t stand living this mundane mediocre life any more. Set me on fire and send me Your glory.” I’m hungry for God. I need more of God. I can’t be satisfied with this weak and powerless life as a Christian. I need Jesus and need Him now. I want what they had in Acts and at any cost I will have Pentecost. Judge me if you will. Think what you will. I don’t care. No more holding back because of what people might say or do, what doors might close, finances kept back and people not coming along side or leaving. I need Jesus and I need Him in His fullness as He really is in the Bible and no longer how people have presented Him. I don’t want a God in my image or any other man’s image. I want the only true and living God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. I want Jesus Christ of Nazareth and the real Holy Spirit full of fire, power and manifesting and glorifying Jesus in and through my life every day. I’m going after God and I’m going to get a hold of Him until He sets me on fire and I carry His glory or die trying. If I do get set on fire and carry His glory, world and Church look out because I’m going to let Him be God in His fullness no matter who gets scared, offended or calls it of the devil. God, I make You this public promise. If You set me on fire and allow me to carry Your glory in the greatest measure possible,  I will allow You do to whatever You desire, whenever You will and however You will no matter what the cost or consequences.  I vow this to You today. God, all these years of loneliness, loss and sacrifice were not for ministry. They were for You. They weren’t for them but for You, to get a hold of You, to get close to You and to really know You as You really are. It doesn’t matter how much ministry I do or how many I bring to You if I never get to know You and be possessed by You. God, it is my heart’s desire to be wholly given to You every day, to first and foremost please You and to walk as close to You as I can. Any fruit that comes from this relationship let this be called my ministry to others. This is the best I can give You and mankind. The sad thing is it’s the least I can and should give but the very best. You deserve so much more becasue of Your great sacrifice for me but my life which I once held dear to me is all I have to give and is now all Yours. Lord it is through this life and relationship with You that I will bring to You as many as I can from here on out throughout the rest of my  life that is now all Yours as the reward of Your suffering. In Jesus name. Amen
