Prophecy For 2009

I received a prophetic word from the Lord concerning the corporate church and I would like to release this in accordance with the new year. I believe this is not all that the Lord desires to say, but this what he has shared with me so far. I pray he continues to reveal more prophetic words.

This is the year where God is removing the reproach from the bride (church). I will prepare me a glorious bride prepared for intimacy. For in past time she could not enter in, because of her lack of holiness. But now I desire to show myself to her in all my glory for will only dwell within the midst of a Holy People. I desire to dwell with a peculiar people.

I desire to make a chosen generation and I desire to make my abode in the hearts of my people. I desire to live there perpetually and continually. I will love their hearts and by my Spirit I will draw them closer to me. I will woo them by my unfailing love and I will restore the beauty of my people and cause the kings and the nations to glory again. For “Ichabod” is being removed from the hearts of many and I will return with my glory. For it grieved me that I left their heart and I desire to return to live so that my people will begin to shew forth my praises because I brought them out of darkness in to my marvelous light. They will come into my light and experience my love. My glory returns. The tangible weightiness of my glory returns upon my people. My glory thunders in the spirit. Although you do not see it naturally, My glory is thundering in the camp of the enemy. Because of your faithfulness. I will remove the reproach from my people. I will cause them to stand with strength power and glory by my unfailing grace.
My grace and glory will return to empower my people to seek after me again. For many have abandoned the seek. I place a hunger on the inside of my people. I create a hunger. And even as my people hunger. I will fill. I will fill and overflow into many generations and the relationships that surround them. I will overflow with my love. My love will overflow and they will know my glory is yet alive. They will realize that I am a faithful God. And I am unchanging. So declare to my people to come and be intimate with me so that I can share measures of how I am with each of them. I desire to share my self and give myself to my people. For they will have tokens and deposits of who I am to take into the new year. And one deposit of my glory will carry them for a lifetime. I will give them much to sustain them. For there are treacherous times ahead. But my people will be sustained by me. They will have the deposit of my glory to sustain them through these times.

The Genesis of CHANGE

CHANGE.

 

A very recognizable word and it has not been more prominent until this time. As Barack Obama, the newly elected president of the United States of America, built his entire campaign on this ONE word. He understood that not only the American people, but the entire world, needed and demanded the manifestation of what this one word entailed. He was distinctive in his message making many references to Martin Luther King Jr. and presenting to the world hope that the climate of this nation had the potential to reverse from practices of bigotry, selfishness, and greed to unity, hope, and peace.

 

Many thought this was a new concept, mantra, or belief and praised the Illinois senator for tailoring such a magnificent campaign around that word. Change is a powerful word, because the essence of it sparks the possibility of a new reality that was once impossible to attain. However, this word originated far from American soil and was spoken from lips of an unpopular teacher or scribe. Here is what he said:

“17.From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

 

Yes! Jesus Christ captured the real essence of change when He asked men to REPENT! Although his approach was hated and teachings were scorned, He trail blazed the original idea of change or in his particular message Repentance.

 

You see! Although, change and repentance carry similar meanings, they differ in application. Repentance requires real change in our hearts and souls. I am afraid we can ride the Change train for the next 4 years, but until real repentance occurs this nation will never be changed. Every proposal, venture, or bill will be short-lived because you cannot change this nation outside of Christ. This nation needs repentance! Only God carries the life altering ability to do that.

 

It’s apparent from the millions that voted that this nation wants CHANGE which explains that we all as humanity have a need for a savior.  We must wake up and see God has been trying to change for decades. Instead of embracing change, let us embrace repentance which is what the Father is after!

How to Develop Prophetic Accuracy

I remember when I first started out in the prophetic. The main thing I wanted to be was ACCURATE. I wanted to be right on point when I spoke the word of the Lord. I started out mainly in personal prophecy. When I prophesied, I wanted to speak the very secrets of the person’s heart according to 1^st Corinthians 14:25.  I believe this is everyone’s heart when they begin in the prophetic. Coupled with that, there is much fear of missing the mark or not being accurate. So when you begin, you have to pray to the Lord that he will deliver you from the spirit of fear. When I first came to my church, I was around powerful prophetic people and was very intimidated. They seemed to prophesy the inner chambers of your heart with ease. We were all mentored by my overseer, Apostle Matthew Stevenson, who is known in our area as a man with “lethal prophetic accuracy”. So the pressure was definitely on as we all wanted to be as accurate as our leader. However, I thought there was a big secret to becoming more accurate in the prophetic. I thought to do the usual which is what we all do pray more, fast more, worship more, and the like. Although, these things help. However, it was one scripture that changed my whole perspective of developing accuracy.

 

John 15:15 states, “ Henceforth I call you not servants; for servants knoweth now what his lord doeth; but I have called you friends; for all things I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.”

 

Apostle Matthew shared this scripture with me and he said, God talks to his friends. If you spend time developing a relationship with God. He will speak to you as a friend. This changed my whole view  because I no longer focused on being accurate or developing my prophetic gift. I focused on becoming a friend of God and accuracy in the prophetic came as a result.  So the first step to developing prophetic accuracy is to simply spend time with God. Once you commune with him. He will begin to share his heart with you through dreams, visions, audible voices, encounters, and other methods.  You will find out the Lord has a lot to say. Prophesying became a little easier once I embraced this concept. Before giving a prophetic word, I would begin to ask God quietly in my heart or out loud, “What do you want to say to this person?” or “What is your heart for this person”. Then, the prophetic rivers began to flow. So much so I became acquainted with his voice.

 

Another key is he knows us by name and has a something to say to each person, city, town, or nation. Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you…” So, God knows what he wants to say to a person when giving a word.  The key is to spend time with the God and he will reveal it.  We desperately need the thoughts of God!

The Spiritual Awakening

“SPIRITUAL AWAKENING”

In this new season that the church is now entering into is a season of what I call “Spiritual Awakening”, which the Father is calling His church into a pursuit of spiritual tools and enlightenment in this season of transition. The Lord is getting His people well equipped for what is yet ahead. The Lord is calling forth His church into a place and position of intercession and warfare in a whole new dimension or what I call a “better way”? Moreover, the prophetic psalmist says in Psalms 63:1 “O God, You are my God; early will I seek You”. We can see that the Lord is summoning His people into a seeking position and mindset of prayer, supplication, and worship. What we call today’s church is not? God is looking for true worshippers and prophetic people who have the Father’s heart and mind concerning their leaders, churches, cities, states, regions, nations, and even their local governments. The first principal should be having a heart and desire to want to know what is on Father’s heart. We must seek the Lord earnestly to effectively intercede and get into a mode of extreme worship, where the Lord can release the resources, plans, purposes, substances, mysteries, and the destinies to His people in the earth realm.
The church must understand and precisely discern the moves of God and the paradigm shifts that are taking place. Consequently, the church has suffered and His people due to tradition but the Lord is ushering the church from tradition to a pioneering or cutting edge mindset and position. Many of God’s people are spiritually dead because we are not in a position to seek in Him for “Kingdom Revelation”. Revelation only comes with relationship with the Father as sons of God, after revelation there is illumination and then there’s manifestation. We want the manifestation without covenant relationship with the Father (God) and His Son. Manifestation can come through intimacy with the Holy Spirit which is the Helper, Comforter, and Counselor. God is spirit and He is still alive, we serve a living and life giving God. We do not worship a dead God. Ephesians 5:14 says “Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light”. Light is revelation, its illumination of God’s word, Christ gives up life and He is the Light. In addition, the reason for being dead spiritually is due to old mindsets, traditions of men, religion, carnality, sin, deception, doctrinal error, denominations, legalism, and church as usual. There is a spiritual awakening that is surely coming to earth, through strategic intercession, decree, declaration, worship, and warfare. We must arise from the spirit of slumber, procrastination, and delay and walk into our divine callings, mantels, offices, and ministries.
Furthermore, the church must fulfill God’s original purpose and plan for man on earth as it is in heaven according to Matthew 6:10, which I call “Kingdom Mandate” the Kingdom of God is a spiritual world that is around us. God is commanding His people the church to move into kingdom age and the church must arise from the things that would easy be set us. Moreover, we must take a stand for what is right in the eyes of the Lord and begin to walk in boldness, love, power, wisdom, and light (revelation). The church must begin to have a relationship with their revelation (Christ) and operate in the gifts of the spirit. We must do and live what we preach, teach, and prophesy and not miss the moves of the Spirit of God. Consequently, the church is lacking and missing this new wine skin is due to ignorance, religion, tradition, sin, and stubbornness. There is a sound in the spirit, this sound that we should hear is the Father’s voice which the prophet Samuel heard in that place and position of prayer, intercession, revelation, and authority. We must see that there is a new wine skin that the Lord is releasing and there is a change of the guards. The church as whole should come out of that one-man only mentality or Moses probe but enter into a new covenant and anointing. The Lord is rising up a militant army of young leaders with a Joshua, Elisha, David, Solomon, Timothy, Joel, Hanna, Nehemiah, and Deborah type of apostolic/prophetic anointing. We must awake and arise from compromising and take a bold stand and preach the Kingdom of God which is Christ. The gospel has not changed nor is it was intended to be monotheism or another denomination. There is a spiritual awakening that is hitting the earth and those who are yielded and open to the shift, will receive the power, revelation, spiritual insight, wisdom, and heavenly inheritance. Isaiah 52:1 says, “Awake, Awake, put on your strength, O Zion”. The first awake means the old call for spiritual alertness and awareness. The second awake is the new call from old to new but it bear witness of the first call; you need the first before the second. The second awake is the strength of our Lord quickening our spirits and confirming this new established awakening in the spirit. Zion put on your strength for the spirit of the Lord is with you, for the joy of the Lord is your strength. Moreover, according to the American Heritage Dictionary, the word awake means to rouse or become roused from sleep, to excite, to stir up, to become aware. The Lord wants to stir up the gifts that are inside of you and allow you to become spiritually aware of what is around you in the spirit. Awake from the world mentality of church and democracy. We should not mirror the church after the world or the economy but mirror, parallel, and synchronize the Kingdom of God on earth. We serve a real King who is the Lord Jesus Christ and we are His spiritual ambassadors on earth. We represent Him who sent us. The Lord is awakening our spirits to His voice. God is awakening our spirit from a sleeping position to an alert place in His presence. In addition, a prayer less saint is compare to a sinner or dead person spiritually. Prayer produces strength which is power. Awakening is prayer and prayer brings revelation, illumination, and prophetic/apostolic insight into the mind, will, and heart of the Father. Arise, Arise from where you are and move into the glorious presence of our Lord Jesus Christ, He is calling for us to come up hither. According to the American Heritage Dictionary, the word arise means to get up, to move upward or ascend, to proceed, or to originate. God is calling us to have a vertical relationship with Him so that we can move in the spirit horizontally. The church needs to be mobilized and it takes all of us to do it. God is calling each one of us to be world changers and impact our churches, communities, place of employments, cities, regions, and etc with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We should arise and awaken those who does not know Christ and be that Light to give them. Arise spiritually God’s people and His mighty church. It is time to be awakened by the King of kings and Lord of lords. Finally, we must understand it is about the King and His Kingdom, God is now demonstrating His Kingdom dominion and power in His submitted son and daughter. For where we move in the earth realm, the King is living, moving, and dwelling inside of us, so we have the spiritual kingdom power and influence of Christ. God wants His body to operate in their individual spheres of authority and power. God is awakening His body corporately, individually, socially, politically, and spiritually. The Church must realize and come into revelation of spirit of dominion that God has imparted man with, in the book of Genesis 1:26. We have been made in His God’s own image and made according to His likeness and He (God) has given them (male and female) dominion. The spirit of dominion is our God given right to be sons and daughters and of course His glorious body and church. God is restoring the apostolic and prophetic ministry and authority to the body. God is raising up a cutting edge spiritual army, Gideon and Joel army in this end-time that will move in the power and spirit of Elijah. The powerful church will be a GOVERNING voice to their city, government, region, businesses, homes, schools, communities, and all of the 12 systems of this world. God is raising up vanguard uncanny apostles and prophets with apostolic oils to get the tasks done for the King. God’s Kingdom will be established through His body and His church which shall be channel, vehicle, or platforms to educate the world about the King and His Kingdom. Awake! Awake, emerging apostles and prophets, for this is your hour and season to respond to the clarion call in the spirit and speak, decree, declare, build, plant, overrule, overtake, overthrow, root up, pluck up, throw down, and be violent for your King. It’s time to get in position to be that VOICE to herald a message of the Kingdom to His body and the lost in this world. It is time for a paradigm shift in our revelation and relationship with our Lord and Master. Release the supernatural power of God, with current Biblical truth, reformation, revival, transformation, and throne revelation to this next generation.

What We Ought To Be Passionate About 

(1). The Presence of God. Psalm 27:4 I break dependency of the flesh off my life and pray I would be brought into a place where I  will not settle for past moves but passionately run after life in the Spirit of God. This is my longing, that I be desperate for the presence of God.  Give us the desire to stay in your house (Will) and not our own, for your house is eternal. Let us encounter you in your house and receive revelation of your beauty realm, and also for our lives. For nothing shall hinder me from Living in the House of our Lord!!

(2). Coming Close to God. James 4:8  Let not distractions prohibit me from coming close to our Father. I break fear of abandonment and I release liberty to come closer to God without reluctancy. For you are not like our worldly relationships, you are faithful and you draw me by your unfailing love. Teach me the art of communion and renew my understanding of “Father God.” Let double mindedness and apathy not attack my communion with the Father. For you shall magnify my endeavors and cause me to dwell, forever.

(3). Moving in Revelatory Gifts. I Corinthians 14:1 I declare I shall not be afraid of the unknown, for you have given us different members that we may operates as one body, the body of Christ. I come against the spirit of indifference that causes one to be lukewarm. For I shall fully be as Jesus and greater!!! I shall walk in the gifts of the spirit for it is my inheritance. Religion will not hinder and confusion will not be apart of the perfecting of the saints.

(4).Praying in The Spirit. Romans 8:26 Give me patience and sobriety in the place of prayer, for it is the strength of the Spirit working through me and not my own. Let my soul be yielded to the Holy Spirits’ path so that your will be done. Let faith arise in me to fully trust/ rely on the working of the Holy Spirit. Let my wills and agendas fall so that your Spirit dominates and the hope of Glory is manifested.

The Passions of God.

This topic on passion has really intrigued my soul. So I know you may wonder. Well… Marcus. What are the passions of God.. The passions of God are very powerful and it explains His character and unfailing love towards us. This is by no means all of the passions of God. David declared in Psalms 139:17, “How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!” This is one of my favorite scriptures to pray. I believe in the thoughts of God his passions are revealed. I want this to be my testimony. A life wasted on the thoughts and passions of God. Learning the passions of God reveals His heartbeat. I guarantee if you access God’s thoughts and passions towards situations you will find that your perception is completely off. (Isaiah 55:8). My spiritual father, Apostle Matthew Stevenson, revealed several passions that God has. I am gonna share with you guys my favorites and why I think that are very pivotal for this time and season.

 Leadership (Matthew 9:36)- God is very passionate about proper leadership. It grieves the heart of God for improper leadership to be in place. There is definitely a lot of people that are scattered and weary in there walk with God. They are following the hottest TV minister and duplicating their works. Many people nowadays in the body of Christ fear authenticity. I believe it is ok to like or admonish certain ministry gifts. But.. we don’t need any more T.D Jakes, Juanita Bynums, and Creflo Dollars. I am not knocking these ministry gifts, but we need genuine authentic people that have birthed an authetic burden and have birthed a ministry out of prayer. This is an excellent scripture to pray over the body of Christ. Paul stated something very powerful in 1 Corinthians 4:15, “For though ye have ten thousand instructers in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.” I pray that the Apostolic fathers will rise up. I believe this is the heart of God in this season that they will arise and birth out sons and daughters in the Word.

 God revealing himself (John 3:16-18)- This has been the ultimate purpose and plan of God. From Genesis to Revelation is a picture of a God desperate for his people. I tell you people of God! God is passionately trying to reveal himself to mankind. Just like the above scripture states, God has given us his Son. That we might become well acquainted with Him. He is eager to be release on the earth. Luke 9:58 states, “And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.” Jesus wants a place where he can dwell. A place that he can rest. This is why we must develop relationship with him because he wants to dwell in our hearts. Many shy away from real relationship with God, because relationship requires you to change. Do you think God will dwell with you with sin that you know of in your heart? God no! This is something that really vexes my soul. I come across a lot of people that claim salvation and a relationship with the Lord. However, their fruits do not reveal any of God’s character. They regard iniquity in their heart and say that, ” God is not through with me yet” I know many have heard that! Oops! Some of you may have said it. Ok.. God does work on us, but if you are saved for 25 years and your struggles are still the same stuff from year 2. Then I believe there is a problem. God does give us grace but, Paul stated, “What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?”(Romans 6:1-3) Botton line! At some point we must mature! Thank God for his longsuffering. He is the only one that has patience to deal with us.

Moved with Compassion

I want to start this post of with a scripture. 

Mark 1:40-42 

40And there came a leper to him, beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying unto him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. 41And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean. 42And as soon as he had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed.

-God revealed to me the importance of having compassion. This is a power dynamic in the place of prayer because when you pray from that place, you accomplish a lot in the spirit realm. A lot of people that consider themselves Christians have no compassion or their heart does not break for humanity. When Jesus looked at humanity’s pain, it caused him to react. He begin to introduce the kingdom of God, which is the superior reality. Jesue loved challenging other kingdoms. This is the door to miracles. When Jesus encountered the leper that wanted to be clean, the bible describes how he was moved with compassion. Webster’s Dictionary defines Compassion as “sympathetic consciousness of others’ distress together with a desire to alleviate it” Can you see how this relates to intercession. When we pray, We should pray from a desire to alleviate or resolve whatever the situation we are praying concerning.  I believe there is an anointing in that desire. It is the praying the heart of the father. If you are moved with compassion, this means that your emotions have been moved to operate out of the emotions of God. This is very important when you pray. When you are operating in this annointing, you stand as a son of God. Praying from the heart of God is very key, because sometimes we can get in our flesh and pray amiss. We think we be praying the will of God and we be off. Let us remember that His thoughts are not our thoughts. So the majority of the time, God’s perception of a situation or problem is completely different from ours. I love his wisdom. I have found out that when you pray his will. It make your prayer life more fruitful.

 Nowadays, We have become common with sin, sickness, and poverty. If does not affect us anymore. We have the goods, but we just hold them to ourselves. God is definitely raising up those that will be moved to action. Many of our neighbors, friends, and family will not change until we get compassion and be moved to prayer for them instead of judging, looking down upon, or condemning them. We look at the unsaved as helpless and lost. Jesus looks at the unsaved as an opportunity to glorify his Father. Bringing glory to God’s name does not only consist of praising. It also consists stepping out in power. Let us arise in power and release it to a dying generation.
